Featured Song: Jesus is All the World to Me I feature this great hymn of faith because of all the songs about Jesus, I believe this is one that says so much in the lyrics. Put it together with a great choir singing it in parts and you have a lovely, lovely melody to the Lord. It never gets old even though it has been around since 1904 when Will Lamartine Thompson wrote it. I love his story too. He began writing secular music and had trouble getting someone to sell it for him, then after attending a D.L. Moody evangelistic meeting in the late 1800s he was convicted to devote his talent to writing Christian music – his first Christian hymn was “Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling”. Moody used that hymn at almost every evangelistic meeting since. Another interesting note about Will, he was known to load a piano into a horse drawn wagon to allow people in small towns throughout Ohio to hear good music.[1] Enjoy the video in the upper right of this page as the choir sings this lovely hymn. More Hymns I’d Rather Have Jesus (Rhea F. Miller & George Beverly Shea) I will let the video speak for this one. It is a warm story from the one who wrote the melody to this lovely poem. You might also recognize his voice. I love those alto voices of the lead singers in the video. ![]() ![]() My Jesus, I Love Thee (Williams R. Featherston & Adoniram J. Gordon) Did you know that the words to this lovely hymn were written by a sixteen year old? I learned that from the cyberhymnal.org site. You can read more about this hymn here:. Here are the lyrics: Lyrics: My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine; For Thee all the follies of sin I resign. Wyclef jean carnival song list. Though some speculate that Duplessis did a lot of the nuts and bolts production for the album, no one disputes that Wyclef was a helluva idea man. Along with his cousin and Fugees bassist Jerry “Te Bass” Duplessis a.k.a. He knew how pour every ounce of his personality into every track he recorded. And he was a damn good producer. Jerry Wonda, he produced The Carnival. My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now. I love Thee because Thou has first loved me, And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree. I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now. I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death, And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow, If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now. In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright; I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now. What a Friend We Have in Jesus (Joseph M. Scriven & Charles Crozat Converse) This is another one of my favorites to do as special music.
